Amy Pyne

Amy Pyne, an Elmhurst native, graduated from Illinois State University in 2010 with a B.S. in Psychology. After graduation, Amy spent four years in the Chicago corporate world where she worked for MB Real Estate managing commercial real estate properties.

While working full-time at MB, Amy studied nights and weekends for her personal training exam. Passing the exam in May of 2014, she now holds a personal training certificate from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Immediately thereafter, Amy began teaching group fitness classes and working with personal training clients at FITT-RX. In July of 2014, Amy made the leap to leave the corporate world entirely and pursue fitness as a full-time career; a decision she is certain she will never regret.

In addition to her ACE personal training certification, Amy is CPR/AED certified through the American Heart Association and USA Weightlifting.

Amy has always led a balanced and active lifestyle. From a very young age Amy has participated in competitive sports, such as gymnastics, basketball, track, and dance. While attending Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst, Amy was the varsity captain for the dance team. After her college years, Amy has developed a passion for long distance running, completing countless 5Ks and 10Ks, a Ragnar relay race from Miami to Key West, and the Chicago Marathon in 2011 and 2014.

Amy knows first-hand that salad and coconut water can sometimes lose the battle to ice cream and wine. But she also knows that that’s OK! By making a commitment to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle, Amy is confident that she and her clients can reach and maintain the level of fitness that they desire. Amy is committed to helping clients of all ages and fitness backgrounds to both meet and surpass their fitness goals.
